Terms and conditions are dated from the time of first posting.
*For the 2025 Season, trains 2 & 3 are being used on the ride.
1. Auction Overview
a. The auction offers the highest bidder the unique opportunity to name ONE Vampire Train on Vampire located at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
b. The auction will run from 11/04/25 at midday TO 14/04/25 at midday.
c. Bidding will take place via www.shop.chessington.com
2. Eligibility
a. Bidders must be at least 18 years of age or older, or have consent from a legal guardian (18+) to take part in the auction and place a bid.
b. The auction is open to all residents of UK mainland.
3. How to bid
a. To bid you must be registered with the Chessington Online Shop. You will not be permitted to place bids or checkout as a guest.
b. To ensure that bids placed on products in this auction are authentic and genuine, there is a Non-Refundable Joining fee of £5.00. Once this is paid you will be able to place multiple bids on any of the products up for auction.
c. All bids must be in GBP, and binding.
d. The minimum starting bid is £10, with incremental increases of £10.
e. The highest valid bid at the end of the auction will be deemed the winning bid.
4. Payment
a. The winning bidder must complete payment within 72 hours of auction close.
b. Payment must be made via the link in your confirming highest bidder email.
c. Failure to pay in full will result in disqualification, and the next highest bidder will be contacted.
5. Name submission guidelines
a. Once the Winner has been confirmed, Chessington World of Adventures Resort will be in contact via email for the winner to share their chosen name for the Vampire Train. The email used to contact the winner will be the email address used to place a bid on the auction platform.
b. Email addresses will only be used to contact bidders if they are the chosen winner of the promotion and will not be stored for marketing purposes.
c. The submitted name must:
i. Be family friendly (no profanity, hate speech, inappropriate references)
ii. Not infringe on trademarks, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights.
iii. Be subject to approval by Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
d. Chessington World of Adventures Resort reserves the right to reject, modify or request alternative submissions if the proposed name does not meet these guidelines.
e. Final name approval is at the discretion of Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
6. Duration of Naming
a. The chosen names will remain on the train for the remainder of the 2025 season, being removed by 31 December 2025.
7. Publicity
a. By participating in the auction, the winners agree to allow the use of their full name, photograph, and chosen train name for marketing and promotional purposes without additional compensation.
8. Liability and Disputes
a. Chessington World of Adventures Resort is not responsible for any technical issues, bid errors, or disruptions during the auction.
b. In case of disputes, Chessington World of Adventures Resort’s decision is final.
c. Chessington World of Adventures Resort reserves the right to cancel or amend the Auction and these Terms without prior notice.
d. Chessington World of Adventures Resort reserves the right to substitute the prizes for other prizes of equal value.
e. By bidding, participants acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms.
